Aídy formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1996 with Rodrigo Tavares on guitar, Pedro Dantas on bass, and Beto Cazes on drums. They released their debut album 'Ilha Do Frade' in 2003, which included the title track that became a hit in Brazil.
In 2006, Pedro Dantas left the band and was replaced by bassist Bernardo Bosisio. The group continued recording albums like 'Todo Mundo Grita' in 2005 and 'Quase Lindo' in 2008. Another of their songs, 'O Caminho,' appears among their notable tracks.
They toured internationally, playing shows in Europe, Asia, and North America. Their later albums included 'Silêncio' in 2011 and 'Incêndio' in 2015.
