Aiemu is a Japanese band formed in 2015 by vocalist Yukari and guitarist Shion. Their debut single "Yakusoku" came out the following year. The song's arrangement mixes classical and pop elements, with Yukari's voice carrying the melody.
In 2017, Yukari was diagnosed with a vocal cord polyp. She received treatment and returned to performing. Around that time, the band released "Sora no Kanata" and "Tsuki no Hikari." Their later work includes "Ashita e no Kakehashi" from 2019 and "Hikari no Michishirube" from 2020.
Their music tends toward introspective lyrics and layered soundscapes that incorporate electronic touches. The band has maintained a relatively private public presence since their formation.
