Aiko Yamaide started releasing music in 2003 with the single "Ashita Kimi ga Inai Nara." The following year, her album "Aiko 2" and its track "Kasa" found some commercial footing in Japan's pop landscape.
She kept recording through the 2000s, putting out albums like "Hana Koe Koe" and "Love Like Pop." Her song "Choice" is among her better-known tracks.
In 2011, she was arrested for drug possession and took a break from public work. When she returned to music, she addressed that period in some of her material.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
