The Sardelli brothers' band evolved from grunge roots to moody, introspective soundscapes.
If you want to hear their range, start with 'Por Mil Noches' from the debut, then check out 'El Resplandor' from their later work. That shows the journey pretty clearly.
Airbag matters because they've shown how a Buenos Aires rock band can shift gears without losing their identity. Their early track 'Por Mil Noches' from 2004's 'Libertinaje' had that grunge energy, but songs like 'El Resplandor' and 'Esta Noche' reveal a more atmospheric side. They've kept going through lineup changes while maintaining that distinct Argentine rock feel.
They formed in Quilmes in the late 1990s with the Sardelli brothers and drummer Gastón Sardelli. After their 2004 debut, their sound became more atmospheric on albums like 'Descalzo en la Tierra' and 'Una Hora a Tokyo'. Gastón Sardelli left in 2019, and they continue with Patricio on vocals and guitar, Guido on bass, plus Machi Rufino and Juan Pablo Villamayor.
