Akdong Club is a sibling duo made up of Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun. They debuted in 2012 with the single "Be My Love," which became popular for its straightforward melody and the pair's natural vocal blend. Their first album, simply called "Akdong Club," came out in 2014 and included that song along with others like "Byol" and "Chaghan Gunyo."
In 2015, there was some noise about one of their songs sounding similar to another track, but it didn't stop them from putting out more music. They released a second album called "Spring" in 2016, followed by "The Little Name" in 2017. Chan-hyuk enlisted for military service in 2018, so Suhyun worked on her own projects for a while.
They came back together in 2019 with an album titled "Akdong Musician." The songs on it, like "Chin Goo Yeot Teon Neo" and "Gojidmal," kept to their usual style of clear, melodic writing without much studio fuss. People who liked their earlier work seemed to appreciate that they hadn't changed their approach too much.
