Akundum formed in Santiago, Chile in 1994, with Daniel Maldonado and Felipe Ramos starting the project. Their early work like 'Squash' and 'Disko Domestico' came out in the late 90s and early 2000s, mixing electronic styles with a rough, experimental edge.
Their 2004 album 'Disk Sexo' brought more attention, particularly the title track. Other tracks like 'Emaconhada' and 'Meu Dinheiro' show their continued interest in electronic textures and blunt, sometimes provocative themes.
Their live shows were known for being immersive, often incorporating visual elements alongside the music.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
