The band faced concert bans and limited radio airplay during this period. In 1993, they were accused of inciting violence against police during a Toulouse concert, which led to their temporary arrest and a performance ban in that city.
Al Peco released several albums including "La Vie Est Trop Courte Pour Faire La Guerre" in 1989, "Vive La France" in 1991, and the self-titled "Monsieur Le Ministre De l'Interieur" in 1993. They also worked with artists like Manu Chao and Fermin Muguruza. Another notable track, "Reviens-moi," appeared in their catalog alongside their more politically direct material.
They released a live album in 1997 and an anthology collection in 2019. The band's music maintained a following among listeners drawn to its social commentary and unpolished rock energy.
