Al2 El Aldeano

Alejandro Sánchez, who performs as Al2 El Aldeano, started rapping in Granada. He came up in Spanish hip-hop with the duo SFDK, releasing their debut album 'La Costa Nostra' in 2005. The group split in 2012, and Al2 went solo the following year.

His 2013 solo album 'A veces' gave the project its name. The title track and songs like 'Amándote' and 'Así Es La Vida' are built around direct, personal writing about everyday life and relationships. He tends to work in a confessional, plainspoken style rather than flashy production.

Al2's lyrics often draw from his own experiences in working-class neighborhoods. That grounded perspective has connected with listeners, though his blunt approach has sometimes sparked debate. He continues to release music that operates in that same conversational, unfiltered vein.
