Background notes

Archive material and source history

Alan Pop was a California band that put out music in the early 2000s. Their best-known song is "Love on the Beach," which came out on an album of the same name in 2002. The group included Alexia Jones on lead vocals, Ethan Hayes on lead guitar, Jake Carter on bass, and Max Evans on drums.

In 2004, the band's guitarist Ethan Hayes was arrested for drug possession. The group issued a statement against substance abuse around that time. They released a few more records, like the 2003 album "Coast to Coast" and a 2005 EP called "Summer Sessions," before calling it quits in 2009.
