Alaska y Dinarama formed in Madrid in 1981 around singer Olvido Gara, who performed as Alaska, and guitarist Nacho Canut. The original lineup included bassist Carlos Berlanga, keyboardist Ana Curra, and drummer Juan Carlos Moreno.
Songs like 'Ni Tú Ni Nadie' and 'A Quien Le Importa' became anthems, particularly within Spain's LGBTQ+ community. The band's lineup shifted over time, with Berlanga leaving in 1985. They kept recording through various challenges, adding tracks like 'Esclava Del Mal' and 'Mil Campanas' to their catalog.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
