Alaska formed in Madrid in the early 2000s as a hard rock quartet. Their debut album 'Diesel' came out in 2003, followed by 'La Bomba' in 2009 and 'La Fragilidad del Mundo' in 2010. The band's frontman was Álvaro 'Chino' Moreno.
Their 2010 album included the song 'Help Yourself,' which became one of their better-known tracks. Other songs from their catalog include 'I Really Want To Know,' 'Miss You Tonight,' 'Run With The Pack,' and 'S.O.S.'
In 2011, Moreno was hospitalized due to illness, which created uncertainty about the band's continuation. They had experienced lineup changes before that point as well.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
