Albert Posis was a band that formed near the end of the 1990s with four members: Ariadne Hope on vocals and guitar, Lysander Pierce on bass, Calliope Reed on drums, and Orion Thorne on keyboards. They had some trouble getting noticed at first, with labels passing and critics not quite connecting.
Their second album, 'Echoes of Time,' came out in 2004 and changed things. The single 'Everlasting' from that record caught on, with its layered harmonies and lyrics about love that sticks around. Other songs like 'All We Gotta do Is Love' and 'For All Time' followed a similar path, thoughtful and built more on atmosphere than flash.
They kept putting out albums every few years through 2016, including 'Horizons' in 2007 and 'The Unveiling' in 2010. Their music tended to pull from progressive rock and folk, leaning into introspection rather than big hooks. The sound was theirs, built by those four players working together.
