Albert Zamora was born in Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico in 1959. He grew up with mariachi and ranchera music, learning to sing and play guitar from an early age.
In the mid-1980s, composer Camilo Blanes gave Zamora a song called "Chiquilla Cariñosa." Zamora recorded it in 1985, and the single became popular across Mexico and Latin America.
Zamora's name remains tied to that one song, which still gets played on Mexican radio stations and at family gatherings. He never had another hit that reached the same level of recognition.
