Archive material and source history
Alberta Cross formed in 2003 in Brooklyn, with Dustin Payseur on vocals and guitar, Mikey Roschke on guitar, and Jeremy Lindsay on bass. They put out their first album, 'The Thief and the Heartbreaker,' in 2007. The song 'Find a Home' from that record got some attention for Payseur's vocals and the band's harmonies.
Their second album came out in 2009, self-titled as Alberta Cross. The band went quiet for a while after that, canceling a tour in 2012. They came back in 2016 with a third album called 'Songs of Patience.'
