The band consisted of Alistair Locke on lead vocals and guitar, Emily Hayes on bass and co-vocals, James Carter on drums, and Nathanial Price on keyboards. Their lyrics often addressed social issues, which drew both praise and criticism from listeners and critics.
Alcian Blue released two more albums, 'The Edge of the World' in 2012 and 'The Cathedral' in 2016, before disbanding in 2019.
