Her lyrics sometimes got her into trouble. In 1995, she faced legal action over a song that was said to defame a politician. She kept writing about women's rights and social justice anyway, on albums like 'Deixei de Ser Bonzinha' in 1991 and 'Vida de Artista' in 1997.
She works as a solo artist but has regular collaborators like guitarist Chico Evangelista, bassist Jorge Felipe, and drummer Carlos Bala. Later albums include 'O Amor Não Tem Pressa' from 2000 and 'Viver' from 2008.
