Alcivanio was a Brazilian band from Minas Gerais, formed by Alcivanio Alves, Paulo César Santos, and José Ari de Paula. They started playing together in the early 1970s, releasing their first album, 'Caçador de Arco-Íris', in 1972. That song became their best-known track, a gentle folk-pop tune that resonated with listeners looking for something a little dreamier than the era's more aggressive rock.

Their music mixed folk and pop with some experimental touches, often focusing on themes like love and personal reflection. They followed up with albums like 'Orgulho do Meu Lugar' in 1973 and 'Canta Maria' in 1977, which included songs such as 'Mar de Células' and 'Querida'.
