Archive material and source history
Alejandro Fuentes is a singer-songwriter from Santiago, Chile. He started his band in 2007 with Matias Cella on guitar, Camilo Salinas on bass, and Javier Barría on drums. Their first album came out in 2009, and they've put out a few more since, like 'Fantasmas' in 2012 and 'El Camino' in 2014.
His song 'All I'm Running For' got some attention, and he has other tracks like 'Diamonds Or Pearl' and 'Crazy Dream Tonight'. The lyrics on 'El Camino' touched on Chilean politics and stirred some debate, but he kept writing what he wanted.
Fuentes draws from Chilean folk and rock, and his music tends to be straightforward and melodic. He's still putting out records, with 'El Canto de las' arriving in 2021.
