Snow

She's like the trembling warmth

of the night

She's like the gentle

chill of a kiss

She takes the noise

the static of my mind

Then suddenly

there's waves crashing on the sand

Heartbeats and breath

She glows like the embers

of words like a flame

Timed like the ocean

drowning these empty games

I thought

I thought I was alone

for the ride

'til my eyes fell through you

of dreams

of songs

of minds

oh where will we go if we fall

like summer snow?

She's got her

locks

and keys

and shadows in her drawers

She's like the marking

cross

you drew on sandy shores

She'll lean for your kiss

just to see

if she can feel

In search of reflections

of the real

in all of the hearts she steals

she'll sink when afraid

as she tints me shades

And a brush past

her core

like whispers I've heard before
