Alex Petrounov is a Bulgarian-born vocalist and songwriter who moved to London in the early 2000s. There he met musician Nick Page, and together they formed the electro-pop duo Boy Meets Girl. Their 2006 single 'Boy Meets Girl' became a global hit, known for its catchy melody and Petrounov's soulful delivery.
Boy Meets Girl released three studio albums between 2006 and 2012: 'Waiting for a Star to Fall,' 'Life in Stereo,' and 'New York City.' The band toured extensively before going on hiatus in 2009, reuniting briefly in 2010, and disbanding permanently in 2013.
After the duo ended, Petrounov began working as a solo artist. He released his debut solo album 'The Distance Between Us' in 2016, which showed a more personal side of his songwriting. He has continued to write and perform, both on his own and through various collaborations.
