His music draws from traditional Brazilian sounds like forró, coco, and embolada. He has worked with musicians including Zé do Norte on guitar, Beto Hortiz on bass, and Dequinha on drums. Other albums include 'Nação Nordestina' from 2006 and later releases like 'Asa Branca: Dez Anos' in 2013.
In 2010, Andrés faced a plagiarism accusation from Caetano Veloso regarding the melody of 'Terra,' but was cleared after a legal dispute.
