Alexandre Arez

Alexandre Arez came up in Rio de Janeiro, working with rhythms from samba and funk. His debut single "Sem Juízo" came out in 2017 and caught on, putting him on the map in Brazilian pagode. He's put out albums like "Tudo o que Eu Quero" in 2018 and "Meu Lugar" in 2021.

He performs with a band that includes Fábio Lessa on guitar, Wesley Ataíde on bass, Diego Nunes on drums, and Thiago Silva on percussion. Some of his other songs include "A Força de Uma Paixão," "Vida," and a medley of "Jurame / Sabor a Mi / Perfídia."

In 2019, a song called "Avisa Lá" drew criticism for its lyrics, which some said promoted violence against women. Arez defended the track as reflecting social realities. He's worked with other artists like Ludmilla, Dilsinho, and Thiaguinho.
