Algarismo formed in the early 2000s with Pedrinho Godim on vocals and guitar, Bruno Vieira on drums, and Nilson Lima on bass. They started playing together in a small rehearsal space, working out a sound that mixed rock with Brazilian rhythms and reggae. Their debut album 'A Vida Que te Espera' came out in 2007.
