Allegro

Allegro formed in the late 1990s with Emily Carter on vocals, Ethan Richards on guitar, Anya Petrova on bass, and Marcus Jackson on drums. They started as an indie rock band during that period, putting out their first album 'Embers' in 2000. Their sound leaned toward melodic rock, and they worked through the usual early struggles of a new group trying to find their footing.

Things shifted for them in 2003 with the album 'Anthem of the Hearts.' The single 'As One We'll Survive' connected with listeners, becoming something of an anthem for people facing hard times. Other songs from their catalog, like 'Fragile Life' and 'Stormy Nights,' carried similar themes of resilience and getting through difficulty.

They kept recording after that, releasing albums like 'Phoenix Rising' in 2006 and 'Unbreakable' in 2009. Their music often dealt with personal and collective challenges, though at times their straightforward message about survival drew some criticism from listeners who found it too simplistic. They wrapped up their studio work with 'The Journey' in 2012.
