Alliel formed after vocalist Anya Volkov met guitarist Ethan Hayes at an open mic night. Their debut album 'Ephemeral' came out in 2010, and the single 'Encore' became their breakout track. The band's lineup has included keyboardist Amelia Carter and drummer Liam James alongside Volkov and Hayes.
They released several albums over the next decade, including 'Ascension' in 2013 and 'A Thousand Nights' in 2016. The group faced a difficult period when bassist Jake Lawson died in a car accident, and they dedicated some of their music to his memory.
Alliel's music often features ethereal harmonies and introspective lyrics. They've continued recording into the 2020s with albums like 'Illuminate' in 2023.
