Alligare Eventos formed in 2005 in Brazil with Thiago Guerreiro on lead vocals and guitar, Bruna Caram on backing vocals and keyboard, Ricardo Brasil on drums, and Fernando Almeida on bass. They released their debut album in 2009 after putting out an EP called "Raízes do Samba" two years earlier.
Their song "Clarins de Roma" came out as a single in 2012 and became their most recognizable track. The band followed it with a live album recorded in Salvador in 2014 and kept releasing studio work through 2018's "Conexões."
In 2010, they faced a plagiarism accusation over the title track from their album "Sinfonia do Amor," which led to a legal dispute. The band defended themselves and eventually cleared their name.
