Allison

Allison is a Mexican rock band formed around lead vocalist and guitarist Ernesto Martínez, known as Pato, with Abraham Isaías on drums, Moritz Von Grasweg on bass, and Alejandro Erazo on guitar and backing vocals. They started releasing music in the mid-2000s, putting out their debut album 'All Is One' in 2006. Over the next decade, they followed it with four more studio albums, including 'Allison' in 2008, 'Memorama' in 2010, '12612' in 2012, and 'Todo Está Encendido' in 2016.

Their songs often lean into melodic pop-rock with introspective lyrics, as heard in tracks like 'Lo que más amo' and 'Nada es como antes'. They built a following in Mexico, though their path wasn't always smooth; in 2017, there were confirmed tensions between Pato and other members, which the band later worked through.

Allison's catalog includes the singles 'Olvidaste decir Adios' and 'Otro Día Mas', and they performed a medley for the MTV VMAs in 2006. Their music tends to avoid grand statements, sticking instead to straightforward rock arrangements and personal themes that resonated with a segment of listeners in their home country.
