Allure was an R&B trio from the 1990s with Lalisha "Lisa" Pepin, Stacy Ann Ferguson (who later became known as Fergie), and Akasha Robinson. Their debut single "All Cried Out" came out in 1997 and became their biggest hit, reaching the top of the charts with its harmonies and lyrics about heartbreak. They released two albums, "Allure" in 1997 and "Before We Say Goodbye" in 1998.
Fergie's raspy vocals gave the group a distinctive edge before she joined The Black Eyed Peas. The trio's sound mixed R&B with soul and hip-hop elements, though they reportedly faced pressure from their label to fit more mainstream expectations. They broke up in 2000 after a few years together.
