Almério formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1999 with André Prando on vocals, Daniel Carlomagno on drums, Rodrigo Carvalho on bass, and Felipe Andreolli on guitar. They started playing local bars and clubs, building a following before their 2005 debut album changed things.
That first album's lead single "Queria Ter Pra Te Dar" became a national hit, pushing the band into mainstream popularity. Other songs like "Deixe" and "Me Dê" followed, establishing their place in Brazilian pop.
In 2010, guitarist Felipe Andreolli left after creative differences, but Prando, Carlomagno, and Carvalho kept the band going with new members. They released albums like "Embalar" in 2013 and "Refúgio" in 2020, continuing to put out music that mixed Brazilian rhythms with contemporary pop sounds.
