AlunaGeorge formed in London around 2012 when singer Aluna Francis and producer George Reid started working together. Their early EP 'You Know You Like It' gave a good sense of what they were doing, Francis's R&B-influenced vocals floating over Reid's electronic production. That track and others like 'Outlines' and 'I'm In Control' had a clean, modern pop feel that caught on fairly quickly.

Their first full album, 'Body Music,' came out in 2013 with singles like 'Attracting Flies' and 'Your Drums, Your Love.' They followed it with 'I Remember' in 2016 and 'Ocean' in 2019, each showing a bit more range while keeping that core electronic-R&B blend intact. Francis handles most of the writing and vocals, while Reid builds the tracks from his studio.

They've kept a steady output without much drama, just putting out music that works for dance floors and headphones alike. Songs like 'Friends To Lovers' and 'Best Be Believing' show they can write a straightforward pop hook when they want to, but the production always gives it a slightly cooler, more textured feel.
