Aly and Aj

Aly and AJ are sisters who started making music together as teenagers. Their first album, Into the Rush, came out in 2005 and included the song 'Potencial Break Up Song', which got a lot of radio play and became a kind of standard for that era of pop. They followed it with Insomniatic in 2007, which had a track called 'Chemicals React' that leaned into a slightly moodier, synth-driven sound.

After a few years away from releasing music under their own name, they put out an album called Ten Years in 2017 and another called Sanctuary in 2019. Their work has always been built around close vocal harmonies, a natural fit for siblings, and they've kept at it without much fuss or dramatic reinvention.
