Archive material and source history

Am Taxi was a Swedish indie rock band that formed in Stockholm around the mid-2000s. The original lineup included Johan Renck on vocals and guitar, Erik Jansson on bass, and Pontus Winnberg on drums. They put out their self-titled debut album in 2006.

That first album included the track "Fed Up," which became their breakthrough single. The song's straightforward energy connected with listeners and helped build them an audience beyond Sweden.

In 2008, bassist Erik Jansson left the group. The band continued for a time, releasing a second album called "Little Space" that explored more personal themes. Their catalog also includes the song "The Mistake."
