Amber Pacific came out of Southern California in the early 2000s, playing a kind of melodic punk with pop and emo touches. Matt Young sang and played guitar, and the band put out three albums: their self-titled debut in 2003, then 'Truth in Sincerity' in 2005, and 'The Possibility and the Promise' in 2008.
'Always You' from 'Truth in Sincerity' got some attention, a ballad that connected with listeners. Other songs like 'Gone So Young' and 'Poetically Pathetic' showed their style, clean guitars, big choruses, and Young's voice up front.
The lineup shifted over time, with Young staying through changes that included founding guitarist Joe Ortega leaving. They stopped around 2010.
