Ambrosia formed in California in 1970 with David Pack on vocals and guitar, Joe Puerta on bass, Burleigh Drummond on drums, and Christopher North on keyboards. Their self-titled debut album in 1975 included 'Holdin On To Yesterday,' which became an early hit. The band's sound mixed rock and pop with some jazz touches, built around layered vocal harmonies.
Their 1976 album 'Somewhere I've Never Travelled' featured 'Biggest part Of Me,' one of their most recognizable songs. Another track from that period, 'You're The Only Woman,' also got radio play. The band's lineup changed over time, with Pack handling more lead vocals after Drummond's death in 1978.
Ambrosia released several more albums through the early 1980s, including 'Life Beyond L.A.' and 'One Eighty.' Their song 'How Much I Feel' became another staple on soft rock stations. They kept recording sporadically in later years, with albums in 1997 and 2000.
