Archive material and source history
American Bang formed in Southern California in the early 2000s, originally calling themselves Wild and Young. The trio included Bryan Todd on vocals and guitar, Sean O'Loughlin on bass, and Chad Cherry on drums. They built a following through steady live shows with a straightforward, energetic rock sound.
Their debut album 'Wild and Young' came out in 2004, and the title track became their most recognizable song. They followed it with albums like 'Rejection' in 2006 and a self-titled record in 2009. Other songs in their catalog include 'All We Know,' 'Hurts Like Hell,' and 'Move To The Music.'
Sean O'Loughlin left the band in 2017 and was replaced by bassist Blake Allison. Todd and Cherry have kept the group going while also working on individual projects outside of music.
