Archive material and source history

American Hi-Fi formed in Boston during the mid-1990s with Stacy Jones on drums, Jamie Arentzen on vocals and guitar, and Drew Parsons on guitar. Jason Squier later joined on bass.

After that first record, they put out albums like 'The Art of Losing' in 2001 and 'Fight the Frequency' in 2003. Drew Parsons left the band in 2004, and David Harris came in to play guitar. They kept recording, with 'Hearts on Parade' arriving in 2005 and 'Blood on the Bricks' in 2009.

Songs like 'Another Perfect Day' and 'Beautiful Disaster' show their knack for straightforward, melodic rock. The lineup settled with Arentzen, Jones, Squier, and Harris.
