Amitiels Mcs

Amitiels Mcs is a trio from Rio de Janeiro made up of MC Mika, MC Ana, and DJ Claudinho. They started putting out music that mixed hip-hop rhythms with more atmospheric sounds, often focusing on personal and social themes. One of their early tracks, 'Entre Rosas E Espinhos,' gives a sense of their approach, balancing softer melodies with grounded lyrics.

Their first album was called 'Flores e Espinhos,' and they followed it with records like 'Vozes da Favela' and 'Coração Marginal.' Songs such as 'Pesadelo Real 2.0.2.1' and 'Preto No Branco' show how they kept working within that blend of beats and introspection, without smoothing out the edges too much.

They've had to deal with the usual rough patches that come with trying to make music outside mainstream channels, especially early on. But they've kept at it, with Mika handling most of the writing, Ana on vocals, and Claudinho pulling the tracks together. It's straightforward, person-to-person music, not trying to be anything grander than that.
