Amity Lane

Amity Lane formed in Melbourne with Daniel Campbell on vocals and guitar, Daniel Kennedy on guitar and vocals, Benjamin McCarthy on bass and vocals, and William Kemp on drums. They released their first EP, Chasing Thunderstorms, in 2010, followed by the album A Thousand Paper Birds in 2013. That year's single Broken Wings became their most recognizable track, with its direct emotional pull finding an audience.

Their discography includes Closure in 2016 and Sleeping Lessons in 2019. The band's sound has some alternative rock and post-hardcore leanings, though the later material hints at more atmospheric touches. Songs like Die For You and Drown You Out share that earnest, melodic quality that defined their earlier work.

In 2016, there were some public questions about similarities in one of their songs, though nothing substantial came of it.
