Amsterdam

Amsterdam is a band that formed in the city they're named after, with members Dany La Muerte, Lucho San Martin, and Richard Sucede. Their sound pulls from Latin rhythms, soul, and hip-hop, which came together in songs like 'Elevado' and 'Entre o Bem e o Mal.' They started playing in clubs and on the street before putting out their first album.

That debut album, also called 'Elevado,' came out in 2019. The title track got attention for its mix of driving beats and melodic hooks, though some listeners read different things into its lyrics. Other songs from that period, like 'Indian Pipe' and 'Não Enche,' showed their range within that urban groove style.

Later on, they released another album titled 'Renacer' that brought in reggae and electronic touches. The band's lineup stayed consistent, with Dany handling vocals, Lucho on guitar, and Richie on drums. Their music kept a focus on rhythm and melody rather than sticking to one genre.
