It's been cold here

So many days without sunshine it's hanging on tight

This dark winter light

In like a lion

Out like a hunter preying on what little time

We have left in our lives

Piece by piece

Let the sky open

Let it crack through the thundering

Tear through the shuddering night

Let it drown us in light

Let the clouds roll in

Let it rain for days
