Ana Cristina is a Brazilian singer-songwriter from São Paulo who started writing songs as a teenager after being inspired by her father's guitar playing. She followed it with albums like 'Ao Vivo' in 1985 and 'Táxi Lunar' in 1986.

Her music sometimes drew criticism for its direct approach to themes like female sexuality, particularly with songs like 'Canção Pra Tocar No Rádio.' She kept recording through the years, putting out albums such as 'Maria Bonita' in 1988 and 'Meu Nome É Ana Cristina' in 1991. Other songs in her catalog include 'A Ponte,' 'A Sogra,' and 'Circuladô de Fulô.'

She has worked with musicians like Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, and Djavan.
