Ana Curra was an electro-pop band from Barcelona that started putting out music in the late 1990s. Their debut album, 'Quiero Ser Santa,' came out in 1999 and gave the band its name. The title track, 'Quiero Ser Santa,' became their most recognizable song.

Their sound mixed electronic production with rock and flamenco touches. They followed up with 'Nada Que Decir' in 2001 and 'Paz, Amor y Rock 'n' Roll' in 2007. Other songs in their catalog include 'Rien de Rien,' 'Una Noche Sin Ti,' and 'Volveré.'

The band's lyrics sometimes dealt with religion and other subjects that drew criticism from conservative groups. This, along with their experimental approach, kept them from breaking through to a wider mainstream audience in Spain. They released a compilation called 'Lo Mejor de Ana Curra' in 2012.
