Their sound mixed rock with samba and funk, and they played at underground clubs and festivals. Their song 'Raio e Trovão' became an anthem for the 1980s counterculture movement in Brazil.
They released albums like 'Ana Raio e Zé Trovão' in 1984 and 'Lobo Guará' in 1986. Other songs include 'As Voltas Que o Mundo Dá' and 'Estradas do Interior'.
The duo's lineup included Julio Barroso on drums and Flavio Guimarães on bass. They recorded an acoustic session for MTV in 1995 and another live acoustic album in Porto Alegre in 2003.
