Anamor formed in Barcelona in 1996 with Álex Ubago on vocals, David Calleja on guitar, Santi Comet on bass, and Oscar García on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1999, and the single 'Damela Si' became a hit. They followed with albums like 'Anatomía' in 2002 and 'Escapar' in 2003.
Ubago left the band in 2006, citing mental health reasons. The group reconvened in 2012 for 'Entre Tu y Yo' and took another break in 2014. They returned in 2019 with 'Héroes de la Verdad', their sixth studio album. Guitarist Xabi Aramburu joined in 2005.
