Andelayne

Andelayne formed in Minneapolis around vocalist Annalie and guitarist Daniel Baker. Their debut EP in 2014 included 'Butterfly,' a song that found an audience beyond what they might have expected.

That track's success brought attention, though not all of it was positive. Some listeners questioned whether the band's sound was becoming too polished for its own good. They kept working anyway, putting out more music like 'Every Touch' and 'Good Luck 2 U.'

Their later albums included Reverie and another whose title got cut off in the catalog. The songs from that period suggest they were still figuring out how much to lean into the atmospheric quality of their early work versus something more direct.
