Angelo Badalamenti

Angelo Badalamenti was born in Brooklyn and studied composition at the Manhattan School of Music. He started as a jazz pianist before moving into film scoring in the 1970s, where he began working with director David Lynch. That partnership became central to his work, with his atmospheric scores for Lynch's films like 'Blue Velvet' and the television series 'Twin Peaks' defining a particular kind of unsettling, dreamlike sound.
