Angie Vazquez

Angie Vazquez grew up in Puerto Rico, where she heard salsa and merengue around her as a child. She started performing locally before putting out her first album, simply called 'Angie,' in 2006. The record had ballads and dance tracks, but it was a single from a few years later that people really connected with.

In 2012, she released 'La Separación.' The song is a straightforward take on heartbreak, and it found an audience. That same year, she put out an album with the same title. A public dispute with her record label came up in 2014, which she worked through. She released another album, 'Mi Historia,' in 2015.
