Angtoria

Angtoria was a gothic metal band from Norway that formed in 2001 around guitarist Tommy Olsson and drummer Joachim Olsson. Their debut album, 'God Has a Plan for Us All,' came out in 2004 and set the tone for their sound. The title track and songs like 'That's What The Wise Lady Said' and 'Six Feet Under's Not Deep Enough' showed their mix of heavy instrumentation and melodic vocals.

Vocalist Sarah Jezebel Deva left the band in 2004, and Sandra Estberg joined as the new singer in 2005. Bassist Chris Rehn also came on board around that time. They released two more albums, 'The Serenity of Suffering' in 2006 and 'Apathia' in 2008, before the band's activity wound down by 2013.

Their music often dealt with dark themes, as titles like 'Suicide on My Mind' and 'A Child That Walks In The Path Of A Man' suggest. The lineup changes and a dispute with their label, Nuclear Blast, over a compilation album in 2006 were part of their story, but the core of it was those three albums and the songs on them.
