In 1955, she recorded with The Low Note Quintet, which included trumpeter Conte Candoli, saxophonist Zoot Sims, pianists Dave McKenna and Jimmy Rowles, and drummer Shelly Manne. Their track together, 'Conversation On A Barstool,' features lyrics Ross wrote with McKenna.
