Another Day Dawns formed in Los Angeles around 2005 with Emily Carter on vocals, Ethan James on guitar, Marcus Hayes on bass, and Alex Rodriguez on drums. Their debut album 'Ashes to Ashes' came out in 2007, and the single 'Taste of Heaven' got some attention for its emotional delivery.
They put out 'This Is Not a Dream' in 2012 and 'The Weight of the World' in 2016, with the latter incorporating some electronic elements. Another album called 'Echoes of Yesterday' followed in 2020. The band has another track called 'Forget Me Not' among their work.
At one point they had a legal dispute with a former label over royalties, which they got through. Their lyrics sometimes drew comments for being on the somber side, but they kept writing what felt right to them.
